Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants

If you are an immigrant professional with education, qualifications, skills and experience from your home country, this program can help you build on those assets and prepare you to return to your field of work in Canada. The program includes a series of unique workshops geared towards career development for professionals, networking and mentoring opportunities, site tours of local companies, financial support for skills enhancement, and a workplace practicum for eligible and qualified clients. Employment Mentoring

If you are a skilled professional, our Employment Mentoring can connect you with professionals from a variety of fields including engineering, IT, finance, education, and trades to learn about working in these fields in Canada. We regularly hold information sessions, with guest speakers who are locally employed professionals. These mentors will share information about local professional sectors and can answer questions about working in Canada.

Self Employment for Newcomers

This program, delivered in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Vancouver, will help you through the process of starting your own business in Canada. With 10 weeks of group workshops, private advising with a business coach, and much more, this program will guide you step-by-step and help you become an entrepreneur or small business owner. Empowering Professional Immigrants in Canada (EPIC) Women

The EPIC Women program provides customized Settlement and Employment support, peer-to-peer learning and networking opportunities and professional skills development workshops.
